Care Resource Guide:

Quoting the ScienceDaily Post:

“….Large doses of B-complex vitamins could reduce the rate of brain shrinkage by half in elderly people with memory problems and slow the progression of dementia..”

Before you rush to the supplement shop, you should know that the astudy is talking about large doses:  “… injections of B-complex vitamins are more effective than oral supplements….”  Article does not say how large are the doses..

Care Resource Guide: However another similar article also in sciencedaily is talking tablets of B’s:

Quoting: “..The team found that on average the brains of those taking the folic acid, vitamin B6 and B12 treatment shrank at a rate of 0.76% a year, while those in the placebo group had a mean brain shrinkage rate of 1.08%…”

To be followed….
